About the Joint Replacement Education Class

Summit Medical Center is now offering a Joint Education Class for patients and loved ones that are scheduled to have a total hip, total knee or total shoulder replacement. This class can help answer questions about how to prepare for surgery, after surgery and recovery.

Please join us for a free class before your surgery.

Total Joint Education Class

The total joint education class is a pre-surgical education course. This course is highly recommended and required by some physicians. The course covers preparing for your surgery, what to expect the day of surgery and while you are in the hospital, nursing care, pain management, therapies, and how to prepare for going home after your surgery. It is highly recommended that your coach attends the class with you.
