Summit Medical Center, Casper’s newest hospital opening in early April, is proud to partner with select physicians from Casper Orthopaedic Associates, who will be performing all orthopedic surgeries at Summit. Casper Orthopaedic physicians are longstanding and trusted medical leaders within the community and will provide a variety of procedure options to Summit Medical Center patients.
“Orthopedics is a broad and deep specialty that incorporates complex surgeries and simpler surgeries, as well as noninvasive therapies, and our group from Casper Orthopaedic [Associates] is trained to offer the full complement,” said Steve Orcutt, MD. “We’re excited to bring that kind of comprehensive care to Summit Medical Center and to work more directly with each of our patients.”
Summit Medical Center’s orthopedic surgeons, all of whom continue to practice at Casper Orthopaedic Associates, include doctors Robert Allaire, MD; Matthew Gorman, MD; Matt Mitchell, MD; Steve Orcutt, MD; Craig Smith, MD; and Demian Yakel, DO. In addition, Casper Orthopaedic Associates recently welcomed new physician and Wyoming native Eric H. Linford, MD, who specializes in foot and ankle surgery and lower extremity joint reconstruction; he will also have surgical privileges at Summit.
Each of these physicians is board certified (Dr. Linford is board eligible) and their specific orthopedic focuses include shoulders, elbows, knees, hips, spine, hand and wrist, foot and ankle, and sports medicine. With diverse and comprehensive subspecialties, Summit’s orthopedic physicians are able to address total joint surgery, complex and minimally invasive spine surgery, bone fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, ganglion cysts, complex sports injuries and more.
“Most of us at Casper Orthopaedic Associates have been there for a considerable length of time—some for six years, others for 20—and we’re glad to now be part of Summit Medical Center where we can expand our services and help patients stay in Casper for their care,” said Craig Smith, MD.
