Cristian Balcescu, MD

Dr. Cristian Balcescu is a board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeon specializing in motion-preserving disc replacement, revision surgery, and complex spine cases including failed back syndrome. He trained under renowned spine surgeons Rick Sasso, MD, Paul Kraemer, MD, James Zucherman, MD, Kenneth Hsu, MD, and Dimitriy Kondrashov, MD, and has been involved in multiple research projects and international spine conferences. He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and motion preservation techniques for degenerative and complex deformity conditions. He is passionate about patient-centered, evidence-based care, believing the best spine care starts with targeted non-operative treatment. Outside of practice he enjoys outdoor activities, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and son.
