Summit Medical Center was recently recognized for their excellence in patient satisfaction scores among hospitals across the nation.

At its annual Centers of Excellence Award Ceremony in Las Vegas last Month, NueHealth presented Summit Medical Center the 2016 Excellent Patient Satisfaction Score award for hospitals. This award was based on overall satisfaction scores from surveys administered to patients following their visit to the facility.

NueHealth partners with independent providers in managing 60 physician-owned hospitals and surgery centers across the nation, including Summit Medical Center.
Nationally, patient satisfaction has become a top priority in hospitals, as it is directly tied to reimbursement and quality patient outcomes. Patients are surveyed by a third party on a variety of factors related to their hospital experience, including nursing care, pain management and cleanliness.

Summit Medical Center has consistently scored high in all areas of the patient survey, with an average of 95% of patients giving the hospital the highest possible rating in 2016. Patient comments consistently cite the caring staff and the cleanliness of the facility in their reviews of the hospital.

“Of all of the awards given to a hospital, this one recognizes the complete stay experience for our patients,” CEO Dennis Jack said. “I could not be more proud of the staff at Summit Medical Center to receive this recognition.”

Summit Medical Center recently celebrated the second anniversary of its opening in 2015. The hospital features 16 private rooms, four modern operating rooms, two medical procedure rooms, a fully equipped radiological suite and an onsite lab and pharmacy. Physicians provide specialized services and surgeries in Orthopedics, ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat), gynecology, gastroenterology, general surgery, pain management, pediatrics, oral surgery and plastic surgery. Summit Medical Center also has anesthesiologists and a pathologist on staff.
